When life feels heavy and stress is high, we all go looking for comfort—sometimes in good habits, sometimes in distractions, sometimes in spiritual practices 🙏. In this message, Pastor Bill points us to what Martin Luther called the greatest comfort a Christian can have: our baptism 💧.
On the Sunday celebrating the Baptism of our Lord, we’re reminded that Jesus was baptized for us—to begin His public ministry and to take on the burden of our sin ✝️. And in our own baptism, God gives real, lasting comfort: heaven is opened to us 🌤️, the Holy Spirit is given to us 🕊️, and God speaks His promise over us—“You are my beloved child” ❤️.
No matter what you’re facing, this message invites you to remember who you are in Christ: forgiven, claimed, and sent—a baptized child of God 💛.
